Arcane Mimicry, Arcane Thievery, Inspired Enchantment, Inspired Hex, ... any one of those will either adopt or steal a skill from someone else.

I count only 5 or 6 including inspired enc, since you can't have another one after 'echo'.

i used arcane mimicry in random arenas sometimes just to see what people were using... it was great when the guy had no elite.

Haha, no. He was assuming an extra one on your skillbar too (he only listed 6). Plus even he wasn't right since one of his skills is 'echo', disallowing an extra. Thus, the max is not 8, not 7, but 6.

i'm a necro/mes and i've tried that, I had life transfer, arcane echo, and arcane mimicry. (its not a very good build, i was just testing it out) First i used mimicry to capture echo from another mesmer in the party (if your lucky), then i activate the echo, followed by my first elite, activate arcane echo, and followed by my duped elite, now the third elite should duped and ready to use.

this method is unusual, and i cant imagine a build that can utilize it very well since its first dependency is upon another party member to have "echo" for u. and another is that after the two echo is used, the long cool down is not worth that 2 skill slot.

This build actually works nicely in pve, did fire island missions with it for fun a lot of times, but it drives you crazy!!!
(note, it also drives your whole team crazy if they notice you are using all kinds of skills including all their elites)

Extreme Copycat:
11+1 domination
Arcane Thievery
11+4 inspiration
Inspired Hex
Inspired Enchantment
Power Drain
Leech Signet
6+1 Fast Casting
Echo OR Energy Drain
Arcane Echo
Arcane Mimicry
5 Curses
4 Illusion Magic

If your skills recharge your energy should, too, its the highest art to keep energy management even in this build while using some skills youre inspired by.
Echo the Leech Signet or Arcane Echo Power Drain if you need energy, NEVER echo Power Drain, NEVER echo or arcane echo skills when you are low on energy!
This build is 0% strategy and 100% tactic. learn to use your flexibility.

Try to keep sanity while half the skills in your skill bar change every 10 seconds and you use up to 100 energy per second with up to 4 different elites with really low green numbers.

I sometimes use arcane thievery on enchanted W/Mos in hopes of removing thier mending and somewhat giving them a helping hand.

Just my little way of contributing to the community.
